It is located on a high mountain plateau with the same elevation as Denver Colorado but enjoying the same latitude as Hawaii.

Surrounded by the majestic Sierra Madre Mountains we have gentle breezes coming from the Lake up to the Mountains and in the early mornings from the Mountains back to The Lake. The near perfect climate has low humidity because of its elevation but a semi tropical growing season with tropical flowers like Hawaii. 

Unlike other high altitude cities like San Miquel de Allende we do not have big temperature swings because of the lake’s large body of water that moderates the temperature. 

Our climate has been called “Eternal Spring” with cool mornings and evenings and sunny bright days.
